I am very proud to be the Headteacher of such an inclusive and nurturing school community right in the heart of London, which is open to families of all backgrounds.
At London Scandinavian School we really believe that all children arrive with a natural curiosity and willingness to learn and grow, and that our role as educators is to come alongside them with the same enthusiasm, creating the freedom, environment and confidence to explore the world around them.
I love that the school offers a unique blend, considering the environment we are in, London, and therefore delivering the UK National curriculum, but underpinned by the strong values of Scandinavian education and culture.

Preschool
A typical day in preschool starts with a child-led creative play, onto a morning meeting, and then off to one of the many area playgrounds and open spaces. The teachers follow the children’s interests to create teachable moments throughout the day.
Reception
Designed to bridge gap between Preschool and Primary, our Reception class follows the 7 Areas of Learning. We gently and gradually help our children build and develop their concentration through short structured activities sandwiched between periods of play.
Primary
Our educational model includes a heavy emphasis on outdoor and active learning. Small, focused classes with high teacher-to-student ratios create an empowered and engaged environment.
All classes are in English, with Danish and Swedish lessons provided by native speakers. Danish and Swedish students are provided additional support in their English language development.
